Why we started Bolt

It started on a hot afternoon in Delhi. Our son came off the field flushed and completely spent, and when we went to give him something, there was nothing made for him. Just sugary adult drinks, or water that didn't really cut it.

So we went looking, and the gap was bigger than one bottle. Most kids' nutrition is built around ideal routines: a measured scoop, a perfect schedule, a parent with the time to get every choice exactly right. Real childhood doesn't work like that. The tiffin comes back half-eaten. Sports class runs late. A teenager skips breakfast and still has practice after school.

Parents are already doing enough. The last thing anyone needs is one more brand suggesting they're getting it wrong.

So we built Bolt the other way around. Not to fix kids, because they're not broken, but to back the energy they already have. We started with Bolt Play, the exact thing we couldn't find that afternoon.
